Basic Types of Vitamins

When we talk about health, a lot of different things come to mind. Whether we are talking about prescriptions, exercise, or vitamins, there are many different avenues of health and science that are coming to light more and more as time passes.

So, when you hear the term “vitamins,” what do you think? Do you think of a variety of individual vitamins, or do you just think of one singular item? Well, not all vitamins are the sameā€”in fact, some vitamins do drastically different things than the other ones.

Here are three different types of vitamins:

1) Vitamin A
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that is found in a variety of different foods. Vitamin A can be used for such causes as cell growth and differentiation, and maintenance of the heart, lungs, kidneys, and a variety of other organs.

2) Vitamin C
While we think of Vitamin C as the vitamin often found in juice, it’s the benefits of vitamin C that are important. These vitamins are very important for the growth and repair of the tissues in a wide assortment of different parts of your body.

3) Vitamin D
This vitamin has a lot of nuances and complexities to it, and includes many more benefits than what you think of at first. Vitamin D is also vastly important to your bone growth, and to the reformation of your bones as time goes on.
